Media Challenge EXPO 2017

The Media Challenge Expo will bridge the gap between the journalism students and the job market and help empower a generation of skilled, ethical and analytical journalists who will use their media platforms to transform their society.  The Expo will be the first-ever large-scale festival bringing together the Ugandan media fraternity with university journalism students. Students, employers and media industry leaders will engage in discussions on innovations in the Ugandan media, exhibitions and competitions of students’ work, interviews, networking and career guidance with recruiters, and a live news reporting competition with skills-based training as the prize.

CONFERENCE: The Reality, the Talents and Players of Journalism in Uganda Participate in riveting panel discussions with journalists, journalism students and media leaders to challenge the status quo of how journalism is done in Uganda and generate solutions to challenges.
CAREER FAIR:

A disruptive career fair approach where students walk in for interviews, live auditions and networking with our network of media house employers and learn innovative journalism skills in a series of interactive skills building workshops. 

GRANDE FINALE MOBILE NEWSROOM:

In a race against time journalism students from each university compete against each other in a live newsroom experience to produce a news bulletin sourced from the expo events and receive feedback from judges in real time.
